Nursing Apparels and Travelling Essentials

09 Sep

Traveling with an infant brings out joy that lets you overcome the burdens of carrying the extra luggage.  There will always be an extra luggage when you travel with an infant.  Small and light – these are the words that best describe an infant. You must not underestimate him.  This small guy needs more “stuff” than you do, and this is the reality.

Loving the experience of breastfeeding your baby has many different reasons.  When you are single and have no babies you already wish for an extra arm or two at the airport, but when you are carrying stuff for 3 or more and one of you does not yet walk, 3 or 4 more arms would really come in handy. You are already in the gear you need to breastfeed your baby. What you heard was right.  When nursing, you do not have to carry another nursing material. As long as you are prepared for nursing your baby somewhere, your arms are free to hold your baby.

What Is the best Nursing Pillow?

05 Sep

Im currently using the Boppy pillow, I received as a baby shower gift.
I dont really like how low it is, I have to prop it up with pillows and its still uncomfortable. I have to sit straight up, and my arms get so tired from holding my baby girl up.
She is only 6 weeks 5 days ancient. I reckon I need a new pillow, but I dont know whats out there, and I want the right one this time.

I do like the different ways you can use the Boppy, but its not ideal for breastfeeding, at least for me.
Using just a pillow worked in the hospital but for some wits it doesnt at home. I have to hold her up. And she sometimes eats for an hour!
I do stick pillows under the boppy. It just doesnt matter.
Ive place pillows on the sides under the boppy so my arms would be higher.

What did you like better – a V-shape or C-shape nursing pillow? Why?

30 Aug

I just can’t choose which one I’ll like more. I didn’t use one at all with my son, and want to get one with this next baby. The C-shape seems nice because you can use it to prop baby better, lacking it falling either way, but the V-shape seems nicer for nursing a larger baby, and also keeps your other arm a bit freer. (And I am small, so the size thing is not an issue, as I know it is for larger women who try to use the C-shape pillow.)

Thanks for sharing your attitude!
